Natalie's Baptism

Natalie was baptized at our church, Central United Methodist in Fayetteville, yesterday on December 16th, 2012.  It was such a special day for us and for our entire family!  We love this little girl so much and vowed in front of God, our family, and church family to raise her in the Christian faith.

Thanks to Reverend Tony Holifield who preformed the ceremony and to all of our parents who all came to witness this joyous event!

4 Months

Natalie stats:
  • Head Circumference -  15.75in (25%)
  • Weight -  10lbs  14oz (less than 3%)
  • Length -   24in (25%)
  • Clothes - 0-3 Months
  • Diapers - Size 1
  • Food - She takes between 6-7 4oz bottles per day.  We just switched her nipples to the '2' so she's able to drink them faster.  The Zantac has helped as well - she will still spit up her entire bottle occasionally, but it is not a daily occurance.  I bought rice cereal and 1st food baby food at the grocery store the other day, so we'll probably start introducing a very small amount of solids soon.
  • Sleep - Sleeping through the night most nights.  She went through a spell (maybe 1-2 weeks) where she was eating more and would wake up once during the night for a bottle, but now is back to her 8:30pm - 5:30am routine.
  • Talents/interests - She LOVES her big brother!  He makes her smile and laugh any time he's around.  When she can hear him, she will crane her neck around to see where he is.  And he loves her too, he always wants to hold her.  I'll catch him leaning over her givien her kisses and telling her he loves her and it just makes my heart melt!!

3 Months

Natalie stats:
  • Head Circumference - 15.5 in (20%)
  • Weight - 9 lbs 4 oz (less than 3%)
  • Length -  24 in (50 %)
  • Clothes - 0-3 Months
  • Diapers - Size 1
  • Food - Still on Gentlease formula and using Dr Browns bottles.  She's now on Zantac as well - we discovered her tummy issues may be due to acid reflux :(  The Zantac seems to help, along with the occasional dose of Maylox.  If she doesn't burp several times while eating a 4oz bottle, she will throw the whole bottle up.  Poor thing.  I've read that most babies grow out of this around 6-7 months (around the time they start eating solid foods) so I'm hoping that is the case with her.
  • Sleep - Sleeping through the night!  Such a blessing.  She will wake up occasionaly if she loses her pacificer during the night or if she's congested (due to the reflux), but for the most part she's 10pm to 6am solid.
  • Talents/interests - Started going to big girl school!  The teachers of course love her - everytime I've been to pick her up they are holding her or playing with her.  I'm sure she's being spoiled rotten :)  She LOVES her big brother.  She gets the biggest smile when he is in the room or playing with her.  She doesn't like to be alone - if she can't see anyone, she'll fuss.  She seems to really like being in her carseat.  And I'm pretty sure I've heard her giggle a time or two :)

It's Football Season!

It is officially football season!  This past weekend was the first game and my brother and his family came up to stay with us. We had so much fun - the kids especially loved going to the tailgate party and playing.  We are looking forward to the rest of the season!

Birthday at the Splash Park

My friend Courtney's son Max turned 3 on August 21st, and she had his birthday party this past weekend at a local splash park.  We had never been to one, but Wesley had so much fun!  He was a little hesitant when we first got there, but once he warmed up he was running all over the place.
