Wesley often wants to play with our cell phones, and we've never thought much of it - we usually just lock the screen so he can't accidently dial someone. Sunday night he was playing with daddy's phone, and it looked like he might be chewing on something - I poked my finger in his mouth to see what it was, but couldn't find anything. However, when we took a look at the phone he'd been playing with, and it was missing the '0' key.
Thats right, those two bottom teeth must work pretty well. We are guessing Wesley popped off the key and swallowed it. He seemed pretty pleased with himself.
I told Corey we could 'retrieve' the key - he is opting for a new cell phone :)

New (ish) toys!
When Wesley started crawling and pulling up a few months ago, we decided he needed some big boy toys he could pull up on and push around. There is a wonderful consignment sale that comes to our area a few times during the year, and they have a great selection of used toys. I do not mind buying used - I'm all for saving money, especially on things he will grow out of quickly - I just don't buy any toys that I can't wash. So, that pretty much leaves us with only plastic toys - which is perfect for the type of toys I was looking for. Here are a few of the items I found - he loves them!

10 Months!!
Our Wesley Man is 10 months old today! How fast it has gone by - my brother and sister-in-law had their 2nd baby last week, and seeing him made me feel like it was just yesterday we were bringing Wesley home for the first time! I can't believe how big my boy is getting. Here is where he is at this month:
Wesley stats:
- Head Circumfrence - 19in (90%)
- Weight - 22lbs (55%)
- Length - 30in (80%)
- Clothes - All 12 months, even some 18 months! Still no shoes - I do put him in socks everyday since the weather is cooler, but he usually just pulls them off (don't tell Big Gramps!!).
- Food - 4 8oz bottles per day, and 3 meals. He eats all table foods, still with just two teeth - not sure when all the other ones are going to pop through! I really believe that when he is a teenager he is going to eat us out of house and home - the child can chow down! He LOVES cheese - if we put a variety of food on his tray, he will always go for the cheese. He is also a big fan of fruit, especially pears and bananas.
- Sleep - Back to waking up once per night - going to have to work on that. Some nights he wants a bottle, other nights he just wants to be patted and covered back up.
- Talents/interests - Speed crawling, pulling/standing up. He is all over the place these days! He loves to be 'chased' around by daddy. He pushes everything around on the floor, like its a car - our drink coasters, the newspaper, small toys that don't roll. I guess I need to get him some toy cars! Here are a few new things he has learned:
- He can say 'bath' - that is what I think he says anyway! I'll say it to him and he'll repeat it.
- He can give high 5s, and is learning to wave 'bye bye'.
- We taught him how to push the garage door opener, so now everytime we walk by it he wants to push the button.
- Corey has taught him how to climb down the two stairs into our sunroom without falling so now he wants to go down there all the time! Probably to eat Baylee's dog food :)

New nephew (#4) Jackson Spencer Smith
Corey and I had our 4th nephew born Monday, October 11th at 1:55pm weighing 7lbs 11oz and measuring 21in. He is the second son of my brother Alan and sister-in-law Jessica, and the 6th grandchild for my parents (the 5th grandson). So thankful for this healthy addition to our family!!

Pumpkin Patch
Last Friday we went to Dickey Farms pumpkin patch to pick our own pumpkins! The farm is located just south of Tonitown. We had a great time, and only spent $25 bucks on over 70 lbs of pumpkins. Wesley of course loved being pulled in the wagon :)
Happy Fall!

Weekend Recap
We had a busy but productive weekend this past weekend - we love October (my birthday month :)) and the fall weather in NWA!! It was wonderful.
Friday night Corey and I decided we were going to make homemade pizza. When I was growing up, Friday night was either pizza night or taco night in the Smith household, and I loved that tradition so I wanted to incorporate it into my own family. We didn't make anything fancy, just pepperoni and cheese. It was ok - I think I got my water too hot and killed the yeast. The dough was really dense and thin. Definitely needs improvement, but we ate it anyway.

Don't make fun - I made that apron!

Saturday Corey's dad came up to visit, and we went down to Bikes, Blues, and BBQ which is a huge (2nd largest in the country) bike rally in our area. It was a lot of fun to just go walk around. I was concerned about the noise level for Wesley, but he loved it! They had some really neat bikes and definitely some intresting people.
Sunday we spent working on projects around the house. We pretty much worked all day long! We were all worn out by the end of it. Here are the things we got accomplished:
Sewing project: a tote bag for Wesley's stuff
Washed my car
Washed our table and chairs with Murphys Oil Soap, then rubbed them all with Old English - it looks like a brand new table now!!
Got started on some Fall decorating
Painted our mailbox and post (wish I had a before pic - it was a terrible brown/rust color!)
Painted the lightpole and fixed the light - it was the same brown/rust color as the mailbox
And of course Wesley and Baylee helped :)
Have a great week!
