Crazy weekend weather

This past Saturday the weather in Northwest Arkansas was just amazing!!  It got up to around 73 degress - in January!  Just nuts.  Back to the 40s today with a huge ice storm on the way - boo.  I have been fighting a killer sinus infection, but on Saturday we played outside anyway since the weather was so nice - my poor baby needed some vitamin D!!  I spent most of the time chasing him and trying to keep him out of the street, but it was fun to enjoy the weather :)  Ahhhhh.....can't wait for springtime!!

**The little container he has in his hand has cherrios and raisins in it - he has it at all times these days!  He likes his snacks :)

13 Months!

Wesley is 13 months old today - this time last year we adjusting to life with a newborn, and this year it feels like we've never gone a day without him here!

Wesley stats:

• Head Circumference - 19 in (80%)
• Weight -24 lbs (60%)
• Length - 31 in (70%)
• Clothes - 18 months in everything; still wearing Robeez (soft soled shoes) shoes and boots
• Food - We have officially graduated to whole milk instead of formula, and Wesley loves it!  We still give milk in the bottle - I had this grand plan to switch him completely to sippy cups once he was 1 year old, but he just likes his bottle and milk.  Maybe 18 months will be our new goal :)  He eats all table foods, still no spoon or fork usage though.  He has 6 teeth now!  Two more came in on the bottom over the Christmas/New Year holiday so he has 2 on top and 4 on bottom.
• Sleep - Still sleeping though the night - thank goodness!
• Talents/interests - Walking!!  He started taking a few steps before his 1st birthday and now is a pro.  He will still stumble sometimes when he gets going too fast, but it doesn't seem to faze him.  He dances to any type of music - he is very curious, and wants you to pick him up and take him to see things he points at.  He's really into books these days - especially the baby books you can touch and feel.  He likes to carry things around in his mouth he can hold with his teeth like his socks, his sippy cup, his stuffed animals - he's like a little puppy dog caring things around in his mouth!  A few 'words' I recognize that he says:  Da (daddy), momma, tis (this), ba (bath or ball, depending on what we are doing), bi (bite), ma (milk), mmmmmm (when eating).

As cliché as losing weight and getting in shape is as a New Year resolution, it is in my top 5 for 2011!  I honestly just do not want to spend the time (not that I have it anyway!) away from my home and family to go to a gym at night - so I asked Santa (aka Corey) for a treadmill for Christmas - and here she is!  Corey and I spent Sunday afternoon putting it together - which was a 2.5 hour ordeal - and I had my first 'workout' last night.  I really think I'm going to enjoy having a treadmill at home :)  Heres to a happy and healthy 2011!
