So we made the 2 hour trip and found out that in reality there are no shaded walk ways and there were lots of closed exhibits and rides due to the heat. Needless to say, no more zoo in mid July. We'll do the aquarium in the summer and the zoo in the spring/fall. It was just way too hot - even the animals knew that and most of them were inside. Overall we had fun spending time as a family of course, but Corey says unless its a water park there will be no more outside attraction trips in the middle of the summer. My bad.
