Christmas 2010

We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas this year!!  We stayed home and celebrated Christmas in NWA, and it was wonderful!  We had been in Little Rock to visit family for Wesley's 1st birthday just the weekend before, so traveling two weekends in a row would be too much - we already couldn't fit all of Wesley's birthday gifts in our car to bring home, how would we make it with all of his Christmas loot as well?  Ha!

This year Santa brought Wesley a train table for Christmas!  He really seemed to like it, but is still too young to really know how to play with the trains or organize the track - I think we will just re-gift it to him next year when he's a little older and can really use it :)

"And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch of their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord." ~Luke 2:8-11

Happy 1st Birthday Wesley!

(Sorry I am soooooo behind on this post!  Things have been super busy with Wesley's first birthday and then Christmas, and now New Years AND Corey's birthday sneaking up!)

Wesley was officially 1 year old as of 12:49am on December 18th :)  We had a birthday party for him that afternoon at Buffalo Grill in Little Rock, where he was surrounded by his family and friends.  It was a blast!  The party was monkey themed, down to the table decorations and cupcakes.  Wesley was such a crowd pleaser - he actually dove face first into his smash cake!  Here are a few pictures from the party:

Here is the birthday cake eating on video:

The smash cake aftermath :)

Corey and I just want to say thank you to everyone who attended Wesley's party and helped make his first birthday spectacular - he is such a blessing to us, and we are so glad you were there to help us celebrate!

1 year ago today....

I looked like this!

I was 41 weeks pregnant, and was scheduled to be induced that night.  Luckily my water broke on its own that same day.  We were scared, anxious, excited, thankful, and hopeful as we awaited Wesley's arrival!

You know you are a mom when....

A frog lives in your bathtub

Cheerios hide under your couch

Your blinds can not be completely closed

Someone has wiped their nose on your throw pillow

It seems every surface is covered with sticky fingerprints

And you wouldn't trade it for all of this in the world!
