19 Months!

Wesley is 19 months old today - I can't believe we are already on the downhill slide to 2 years old!

He saw his old bouncy seat in his closet and had to have it - just a tad too big for it now :)

 Playing with oven mitts!

Enjoying a vanilla malt yesterday after church in honor of National Ice Cream day

Wesley stats:
  • Head Circumference - 19.75 in (90%)
  • Weight - 28 lbs (70%)
  • Length -  34 in (80%)
  • Clothes -18-24 month/2T in clothes (depending on the brand) and size 6 shoes
  • Food - Using a fork and a spoon fairly regularly - he's not a pro, but he gets most of it in his mouth :)  He LOVES strawberries and blueberries - if he sees them in the fridge, he will run over to his high chair saying 'bewwy, bewwy' - so cute.  In fact, if he's hungry he will let us know by saying 'bites' and going over to get in his highchair.  He has gotten 4 new teeth!  Two on top and two on bottom, so now he has a total of 12.
  • Sleep - Normally sleeps though the night - we've put a box fan in his room for some noise, and it seems to help him.  He has not crawled out of his crib yet (knock on wood!) but could very easily do so - he crawls up on everything else in the house!  A toddler bed is not too far away.
  • Talents/interests - Still loves the pool and water this summer.  He's pretty brave in the pool, and will even jump off the steps even when Corey and I are not there to catch him!  I don't think he understands that he can't swim yet :)  His favorite toy is still a ball - he loves to throw them (and is actually quite good at it) or kick them around.  He is his daddy's biggest fan - this weekend Corey was still asleep when Wesley and I got up on Saturday morning and Wesley kept yelling 'daddy' down our hallway and going back to our bedroom saying 'come on' - he wanted daddy to get up and play!  He is very attached to two stuffed animals that he sleeps with - they are his 'babies'.  They are the really soft ones that have a stuffed animal head but a blanket body - he even has a hard time leaving them in the mornings when he goes to school.  We have to get him to take them back to his room and put them in his bed and say 'bye bye' to them!  And Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is the only cartoon that will hold his attention - he will watch the whole episode then do the 'hot dog' dance at the end!
We love you so much sweet boy - can't wait to see what you have in store for us this month :)
