23 Months!

One more (short, busy) month and my baby will be 2!  Can that really be true?!?  Wasn't I just pregnant with him?  Sheesh.  It really does go too fast.

Wesley stats:
  • Head Circumference - 19.75 in (80%)
  • Weight - 29 lbs (60%)
  • Length - 36 in (90%)
  • Clothes - 2T (and some 3T) in clothes/PJs/jackets and size 7 shoes
  • Food - Loves grapes!  He asks for grapes in his snack cup every day after school (better than the marshmallows from last month!) He's also digging chicken nuggets and french fries, with ketchup - in fact, he really likes anything with ketchup, or anything that he can dip.  Gross story, but the other night we went to dinner with some friends and he was dipping an orange rind in ranch dressing and licking the ranch off!
  • Sleep - Sleeping ok.  He had about a week stretch where he was waking up during the night, but he's done well since then.  A couple of times we've found him in his crib with only his diaper on - apparently he either gets hot or bored and takes off his PJs!  And he is definitely a grumpster in the mornings - not sure who he gets that from..... :)
  • Talents/interests - Daddy got a new truck this month, and Wesley calls it 'my truck'.  He always wants to go outside and see it!  He loves his boots.  I'd say his favorite 'outfit' these days is a diaper and boots.  Nice.  In the morning it has been a fight to get him to wear normal shoes over the boots - he usually wins.  You pick your battles.  Biggest accomplishment this month is that Wesley has peed in the potty THREE TIMES!!!  We have been talking to him about pee-peeing in the potty for a few months now and trying to stand him there and get him to go before bath time, but this time he has actually came to me and 'asked' to pee in the potty!  He even asked to sit on the potty and poo-poo the other day, but nothing happened.  We aren't officially in full potty training mode but it is a start!
We love you so much buddy and are so proud of what a big boy you are :)

  1. Wesley, you are an amazing little man. Like your mom, we don't know where time goes, but we are excited about watching and enjoying all your adventures God has planned for you. We love you so very much, D-Daddy and Mimi:)
