All about Wesley

My blog has seriously been lacking new pictures of my first born - I do have an excuse, but not a good one :)  Anyway, here are some recent (within the past 2 months) picutres of my little man.  He is so big!

26 Weeks - Baby #2

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 26 weeks

Size of baby: Length is about 14 inches and she weighs about 1.7 lbs (around the size of a head of lettuce)

Gender: Girl!  Natalie Raines

Maternity Clothes: All maternity clothes

Weight gain: 18-20 lbs
Movement: No sign of this baby running out of room just yet - she is active!
Sleep: Sleeping ok - I am still sick this week, so I haven't been sleeping as well as normal because I am so congested.
Symptoms: Feeling pretty good pregnancy-wise - just tired of all this sinus congestion stuff.  I am definitely slower just moving around in general.
Cravings: Cutie oranges and chicken nuggets
What I miss: Not being sick!  Ive been sick for over a week now, and I am just ready to feel better.  Its frustrating not being able to take anything to combat the congestion.  My Neti pot has become my best friend.
Best moment this week: Just loving and enjoying my family - I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and son, and now daugher-to-be!

25 Weeks - Baby #2

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 25 weeks

Size of baby: Length is about 13.6 inches and she weighs about 1.5 lbs (around the size of an eggplant)

Gender: Girl!  Natalie Raines

Maternity Clothes: All maternity clothes

Weight gain:18lbs
Movement: Natalie is a kicker, just like her big brother was.  She moves ALL THE TIME!!
Sleep: Sleeping ok - Wesley and I have both been sick this week, so I haven't gotten as much rest as I would like.  Wesley had a stomach virus then an ear infection, and I have a sinus infection (self diagnosed - don't want to waste money going to the doctor b/c I probably can't take any meds anyway).  I have to sleep kind of propped up so that my head doesn't get so stopped up at night - I think this weather (or lack of winter I should say) has really messed with my sinuses!
Symptoms: Still feeling pretty good (other than being sick).  I'm getting to the point where I can't really bend over well, and I have to prop my feet up at work during the day so I don't swell.
Cravings: Pancakes
What I miss: Really wishing I could take an antibiotic this week!  Hopefully my body will get this yuckiness knocked out soon though.
Best moment this week: Rocking Wesley to sleep at night (yes I still do this even though he is huge!) and thinking that I'll soon have two babies to rock to sleep (unless Wesley decides he can go to sleep on his own in the next few months)! My heart is so full.

24 Weeks - Baby #2

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 24 weeks

Size of baby: Length is about 11.8 inches and she weighs about 1.3 lbs (around the size of a grapefruit)

Gender: Girl!  Natalie Raines

Maternity Clothes: All maternity clothes

Weight gain: Had my doctor's appointment on Wednesday, and I weighed 160 - I'd say pre-pregnancy I was around 142, so 18 lbs!  Geez.  I did gain 48 with Wesley (which I did lose thank goodness!!) so I expect it will be around the same this time.
Movement: I've got a very active baby on my hands.  She moves and kicks a lot - I need to video my stomach jumping when she's dancing around in there.
Sleep: Sleeping well - Wesley has been sick this week, so I've been up with him but I've still managed to stay rested.  Corey was also out of town which usually makes sleeping more restless, but I think I was so tired from being up with Wesley that it didn't faze me!
Symptoms: Still feeling pretty good - my belly button has already started to poke out so I think it makes me look farther along than I really am!  With Wesley it was closer to 30 weeks when that happened and people would see me and say it looked like I was 'done' because my timer had popped out!
Cravings: Nachos and fruit juice
What I miss: Being able to shave my legs comfortably - I have to bend myself into an awkward position to get my whole leg now!
Best moment this week: Hearing Natalie's heartbeat at my appointment on Wednesday - even though I feel her move all the time, it is reassuring to hear that sound every month to know she's ok!  This week it was 156 beats per minute :)

23 Weeks - Baby #2

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 23 weeks

Size of baby: Length is about 11.5 inches and she weighs about 1.2 lbs (around the size of an ear of corn)

Gender: Girl!  Natalie Raines

Maternity Clothes: All maternity clothes

Weight gain: I would *guess* around 12-15 lbs - my next doctors appointment is on Wednesday (postponed until this week due to the weather last Monday), so we'll see what the damage is then.
Movement: Feeling movement and kicking daily - this baby moves ALL THE TIME!  I'm pretty sure she is way more active than Wesley was at this stage.
Sleep: Sleeping well - I don't seem to be waking up as much to go pee lately, but I do get really hot at night.
Symptoms: Still feeling pretty good - I'm still having Braxton Hicks contractions, even though I've been trying to drink more water.  My energy level has improved in the 2nd trimester, so I don't feel so worn out all the time.
Cravings: Mexican food and strawberry mini-spooners (Malt-o-Meals version of strawberry shredded wheat cereal)
What I miss: My underwear fitting!
Best moment this week: Corey and I went to Eureka Springs over the weekend with another couple to celebrate Valentine's Day, and I got a pregnancy massage!  It was UNBELIEVABLE!!  I loved it -I'll definitely be doing that again soon.

22 Weeks - Baby #2

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 22 weeks

Size of baby: Length is about 11 inches and she weighs about 1 lb (around the size of a spaghetti squash)

Gender: Girl!  Natalie Raines

Maternity Clothes: All maternity clothes

Weight gain: I would *guess* around 12-15 lbs - my next doctors appointment is on Monday, so we'll see what the damage is then.
Movement: Feeling movement and kicking daily - this baby moves ALL THE TIME!  Corey can feel her now, and I can see the kicks.
Sleep: Sleeping pretty good - I've still got this cold hanging around, but it doesn't seem to be keeping me up at night.
Symptoms: Still feeling pretty good - I've been having a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions, so I probably need to bump up my water intake.
Cravings: Pepperoni pizza with jalapenos, and creamy pasta like Alfredo
What I miss: Not waddling when I walk :) 
Best moment this week: Realizing that I'm going to be a mommy to 2 little blessings soon!  Really soon - this pregnancy is flying by!

21 Weeks - Baby #2

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 21 weeks

Size of baby: Length is about 10.5 inches and she weighs about 12.7 ounces (around the size of a banana)

Gender: Girl!  Natalie Raines

Maternity Clothes: All maternity clothes

Weight gain: I should get on the scale and see....

Movement: Feeling movement and kicking daily - in fact, Saturday morning I was so excited that Wesley slept until 8am ON A WEEKEND but I was already awake b/c Natalie had been kicking since 6:30am.  Sigh..... 

Sleep: Sleeping pretty good - I've had a head/chest cold this week, so I haven't slept as well as I normally would but we got out our humidifier and that has helped.

Symptoms: Feeling good overall - just feeling like I'm getting really big! People tell me I don't look that big, but I sure feel like it.

Cravings: Cupcakes and ice cream - I bought stuff to make strawberry cupcakes with strawberry icing and some vanilla bean ice cream 'for the Super Bowl' - that's my excuse anyway :)

What I miss: Being able to take Theraflu! That stuff is the best for sleeping when you have a cold.

Best moment this week: Enjoying my time with Wesley as an only child - I wonder if he'll even remember when it was just him or if hes too young and will always remember having his sister around?
